Morf is a free, browser-based image converter, compressor, and resizer.
Its biggest advantage is that you can load images directly into separate configuration groups, then set a different format, resolution, quality, or maximum file size for each group. This is especially useful when the same set of images needs different versions for a website, an online store, social media, and email. What can Morf's image converter do?

- Every group card accepts images: drop a file onto it, or browse using the button. In supported browsers, the Import folder action lets you add a whole image folder as a single group, which you can then convert with the same settings.
- Group-level settings
- Click a group to select it, then choose the usage purpose, format, resolution, quality, maximum file size, or lossless mode in the sidebar. This applies to every image in the group.
- Drag-and-drop ordering and bulk actions
- Reorder images with the handle, or drag them into another group. Duplicate an image with one click instead of uploading it again. Select several images to move, split into separate groups, or delete them together.
- Automatic fit to a maximum file size
- Set an upper limit in KB, and Morf finds the best quality that still stays under the target size.
- Lossless mode for original detail
- Lossless mode keeps the original resolution and encodes without optimization, within the limits of the chosen format.

Which image format should you choose?
The right output depends on the image's content and where it will be used. Morf handles the most common web and mobile formats in a single converter, but HEIC and HEIF are currently input-only formats.

Which image formats can I convert?
You can add JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and HEIC/HEIF still images. Output can be JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. Morf checks the file content, not only its extension.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes. Create separate configuration groups when images need different formats, dimensions, quality or target sizes, then process all included groups in one run.
Can I convert a whole image folder?
In supported browsers, you can add a folder and its subfolders as one group. Morf processes the images in sequence, which is easier on memory for large collections.
How can I reduce an image below a target file size?
Enable the maximum file size setting and enter a limit in KB. Morf finds the highest quality that fits the limit and reduces resolution further when needed.
Is the image converter free to use?
Yes. There is no registration, advertising, daily file limit or download limit. The amount you can process at once depends on your browser memory and device performance.
Do my images get uploaded?
No. Conversion runs locally in your browser. Your selected files stay on your device while you work.
