What videos can I upload?
MP4, M4V, MOV, WebM, MKV, and MPEG-TS video. Actual decodability also depends on the file's codec and your browser's WebCodecs support.
What format can I download?
MP4 and MOV with the H.264/AAC codec, WebM with VP9/Opus. After upload, the tool shows which output your browser can encode.
What does the resolution percentage mean?
It reduces width and height together, proportionally. 50%, for example, turns a 1920 × 1080 video into a 960 × 540 output.
Will the finished file be exactly the estimated size?
Not necessarily. The estimate is built from resolution, frame rate, the chosen format, quality, and the audio track. The video's content also affects the final size.
Does the audio track stay?
Yes, if your browser can decode the source audio and encode the chosen output's audio codec. A video without audio also produces a silent output.
